Smart grid gets smarter with Teradata
Victorian energy infrastructure company SP AusNet has selected Teradata’s Data Warehouse Appliance and Utilities Logical Data Model as the foundation for a new enterprise data warehouse.

SP AusNet leases Austar 'WiMAX' spectrum for smart metering
Austar (ASX: AUN) is to lease a portion of its 2.3GHz spectrum licences in regional Victoria to SP AusNet (ASX: SPN), which will build a mobile WiMAX network to provide communications with smart electricity meters it plans to rollout to 680,000 consumers in the next three years.

SP AusNet taps Motorola & Unwired for WiMAX based smart-metering
Victorian power company, SP AusNet, has chosen Motorola Home & Networks Mobility business' mobile broadband technology to power what, according to Motorola, will be the world's first WiMAX-based smart metering network, using Unwired's spectrum.
